DOTTING THE MAP
A Visual Guide for Canadian Voters

WHAT IS AT STAKE?
Elections matter.
They are crucial for the exercise of our democratic rights, power and responsibilities as Canadian citizens. At a time when our national security and PRC experts have raised serious alarms about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) unduly infiltration into Canada and meddling in our electoral systems, it is of paramount importance that voters and the media be more informed about the invisible hands of the CCP and its operatives in Canada before we head to the polls. This would be critical in safeguarding the integrity of this and any future elections and our democratic institutions.

Therefore, Canadian Friends of Hong Kong (CFHK) and Found in Translation (FiT) (link to About) have collaborated and put together a visual guide in maps (link to Map 1), hoping to provide some cross-sectional perspectives into the complex picture of CCP infiltration and united front (UF) networks in Canada. We hope it will serve as a tool to enhance understanding of events, incidents, policies and practices so as to open up interpretations pointing to probable insight directions. From there, it is hoped that Canadian voters would be able to share observations, exchange information and brainstorm ideas, fostering a national conversation about all these issues that are crucial to our national security and interests.
Please note this guide, supported by public-source research, only aims to highlight a few examples of the key united front strategies and tactics employed, controlled or operated by the CCP in Canada. Many might even be connected to or commanded by the CCP schemers inside the PRC. The maps cannot and should not be viewed or interpreted as a comprehensive guide of “who’s doing what and how” that are involved in the big picture of what the CCP is doing to Canada, which in itself is covert, complex, wide-ranging and intrusive with multiple layers and in many dimensions. We are hopeful more and more will be uncovered by Canadians working together.
